JoAnn Holt

B orn and raised in Manitowoc, WI, JoAnn has lived out her dream as a young girl to travel. She has lived and worked in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, California, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston, Bryan and has settled in Navasota.

She began her career at GMAC and took advantage of an offer for early retirement in 1996 after 30 years of service. It was at GMAC in Houston where she met her husband Grant. They married in 1989 and have made their home in Navasota.

With the encouragement of her husband, she graduated from Dallas Institue of Funeral Service and became a licensed funeral director in 1999. JoAnn is the office manager for the funeral home and meets with families when called upon. She also assists Grant by doing the hair and assisting with the dressing and cosmetics of our female clients.

A perpetual student, JoAnn later attended and graduated from Blinn College and received Associate Degrees in Art and in Science, and continues to study in her spare time.

She is a member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church where she is a lector and supports her husband Grant with his Deaconate duties. With her love of reading, she is proud to serve on the board of the Navasota Public Library.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, photography, travel and spending time with family.
