Anna Ruth Wilson, 88, of Navasota, died Wednesday morning at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

A gather of family and friends was held Saturday, March 17, 2012, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Apostolic Church of Eagle Lake, Florida with Bishop Billy H. Tummond officiating. Interment will follow in Wild Wood Cemetery in Bartow, Florida.

Anna was one of 14 children born to Jeff and Maddie Brumbalow Buckner September 9, 1923 in Monterey, Tennessee. She worked in the citrus industry for many years. She had a deep love of God and her church, Apostolic Church of Eagle Lake, which she helped build. Anna was known as the "candy lady" and was famous for her peanut brittle. She loved to bake, cook, sewing and working on her crafts. A resident of Navasota since 2000, she was a loved resident of Sheridan of Navasota and will be missed by her Sheridan family.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Andy Wilson on October 9, 1999 and by 8 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Wilson Orozco and husband Socorro of Navasota; brothers, Hubert Buckner of Cookeville, TN and "Arnold Buckner of Monterey, TN; sisters, Jessie Tummond of Eagle Lake, FL, Ollie Grace Narrod of Monterey, TN and Marjorie Dennis of Indiana; grandchildren, Amanda Ramos Carter and husband Brian, Jefre Ramos, Christena Ramos and Justin Crenshaw and 2 great grandsons, Braiden and Cade Carter.
